English translations of the "Sayings" used in "The Truth About Islam" — except for the first and sixth — were selected from The Sayings of Muhammad by Sir Abdullah Suhrawardy (1882-1935). The first "Saying" is from Understanding Islam by Frithjof Schuon; the sixth from Muhammad by Karen Armstrong.

First published in 1995, "The Truth About Islam" was inspired by M. N. Masud (1906-1991), and Atiya Fatima Masud (1912-1997).
